Leeds United Part 7 - January, February and the start of March

Ever since the start of the new year we've looked a completly new team, free scoring and the defence has been a lot stronger (25 Goals and 13 Conceeded in 11 games) losing only one league game, but I was very dissapointed with the recent result against Rochdale in the F.A Cup 3rd Round but I have been overjoyed with the leagues results.

I know this is off-topic but I have to mention this fantastic result for Huddersfield at Old Trafford :-

My January signings are proving they are quality with Adam Hammill with 6 games 2 goals 4 assists with a average rating of 7.37 and Leigh Griffiths with 8 games 5 goals and 1 assist with a average rating of 7.11 :-

Leeds United - Part 6 - The Final Transfer Window

After lacking creativity from the left wing despite signing Van Der Meyde (with his stats in downfall)I decided to look through the transfer centre for any possible talents with Gradel, Ross Mccormack and Sanchez Watt not providing anything.

Then transfer listed Adam Hammill for Wolves was avaliable for £1.4M with quality stats and only at the age of 22, so i snapped him up despite interest from Burnley and Leicster.

In the central midfielder position Jonny Howson was dissapointing so on a loan move I signed the Manchester City wonderkid Tom Cairney until the end of the season.

In addition to these buys I believe I was lacking a proven goalscorer so for £1.4M I signed Leigh Griffiths with a fantastic finishing attribute and other good stats.

At the end of both transfer windows all the transfers are :-

Leeds United - Part 5 - October to January

End of October, a dissapointing defeat against Nottingham Forest followed by a good run and defence with a nice amount of goals, halfway through December a huge dissapointing defeat against 14th placed Ipswich but a fantastic recovery for the derby against Barnsley.

Having just approached over half the games in the season my current top scorer is Ross Mccormack with 7 goals in 20 games, my best player is Andy O'Brien with a average rating in the league with 7.24

As 25 games have been played in the season so far the league is as :-

As well as this the chairman Ken Baites has injected £2.5M into the club (suprisingly)

Leeds United - Part 4 - Month 2&3

In my opinion it's was a excellent September winning the first lot of games but then a disappointing result against Norwich knocked the teams morale a bit, a fantastic result against the league leaders Leicester City. From this I can tell that my defence isn't the best but a very good attack having scored 29 and joint top scorers in the league. Despite conceding a lot of goals my defence is better than my other positions according to my assistant manager :-

The best player in September for me was Ross Mccormack scoring 6 goals in 5 games with 1 assist.

As of the 24th October 2010 the league stands as this :-

Leeds United - Part 3 - First Month

Very disappointing first month, 12th in the league 11 goals scored 7 conceded. Yaya Sanogo has been the best player with 3 goals and a assist in 5 games (one goal also been disallowed in the goalless draw with Scunthorpe)

didn't win one of the first 3 derby matches (Barnsley, Sheffield, Scunthorpe) but a excellent result against Burnley and a strong performance against a Derby team who are currently 2nd

Leeds United - Part 2

Buying The Players.

I had a quick casual browse of the transfer market, in my opinion this kid is a gem and for only 275k he's called Leandro Grimi :-

Since I don't have so much money I've been looking at loan players these include - Yaya Sanogo (CF) and Tamir Cohen (CM) - Sanogo who has a high finishing attribute and is very young while Tamir Cohen of Bolton has good strength work rate and passing.

Personally I think i'm lacking a good player at my left wing (Max Gradel is awful on this) so I looked at the free transfers and found quite a good player who can fill this position for me :-

Selling The Players.

In my own opinion I believe that Leeds United have a very good squad, a creative midfielder in Robert Snodgrass (who i believe is good enough for a premier league team), a goalscorer centre back in Andy O'Brien, and a clinical finisher in Luciano Becchio, these are the players I should be holding onto unless a huge offer 6m+ is bidded. The squad seems good enough for a top 10 finish but some players are worth the money due to being not in my plans, but I will need to sell players as my budget is very poor in my opinion :-

With no money to spend I will have to sell some players, first of all i've offered Billy Paynter who in my opinion isn't good enough for the Leeds squad :-

I have also transfer listed some other members of the squad which I believe are not good enough.
